Toronto Si-Zhu Chinese Music Ensemble Presents: Stylish South

Celebrate Asian Heritage Month here at Palmerston with Stylish South ? A Night of Guangdong (Cantonese) Music presented by the Toronto Si-Zhu Chinese Music Ensemble. Enjoy a concert featuring Guangdong (Cantonese) music, a style of traditional Chinese instrumental music from Guangzhou and surrounding areas in the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong Province on the southern coast of China. Cantonese classical music is usually rather lively in pace and with jolly spirits in style. Many such music pieces were composed in the 1920s, which were inspired by or with tunes derived from Cantonese operas and dances.
