Summary/Review: "Mina and her father live in a tree stump on the edge of a pond on the edge of a forest. Mina loves to read. And her father loves to knit. And they are very happy until one day her father brings home a new pet. Mina is a mouse, and while she loves her father very much--especially how he is always full of surprises--she is sure that the new pet he brings home is not a good idea. Mina's father says not to worry, he is sure the new pet is a squirrel. But MINA is sure it's a cat and is also sure that is NOT a good idea. When Mina's father brings home more pets things change . . . and Mina is not so sure he's right--not at all!"--
