Summary/Review: It is the first day of school for the animals on the savannah. The teacher wants everyone to say their name, but little giraffe doesn't say a word. In a sweet story of love the animals learn that giraffes, who do not have vocal cords because of their long necks, can communicate by rubbing their long necks together. The word "mama" is expressed with such tenderness that soon all the animals want to communicate just like the giraffes.
