2023 Toronto Book Awards
Established by Toronto City Council in 1974, the Toronto Book Awards honour books of literary merit that are evocative of Toronto. The 2023 awards offer $15,000 in prize money: finalists receive $1,000 and the winning author is awarded $10,000.
The 2023 Toronto Book Awards shortlisted titles are:
- Clara at the Door with a Revolver by Carolyn Whitzman
- Finding Edward by Sheila Murray
- Moving the Museum by Wanda Nanibush and Georgiana Uhlyarik
- Nomenclature by Dionne Brand
- Wild Fires by Sophie Jai
2023 Toronto Book Award Winner – Wanda Nanibush and Georgiana Uhlyarik
Wanda Nanibush and Georgiana Uhlyarik have been awarded the 2023 Toronto Book Award for their book Moving the Museum: Indigenous + Canadian Art at the AGO, published by Goose Lane Editions.
