- What is the Indie Author Project?
- The Indie Author Project (IAP) is a publishing community that includes public libraries, authors, curators and readers working together to connect library users with independently published ebooks. The mission of the Indie Author Project has always been to connect independent authors and local libraries.
Through this publishing community, authors can submit ebooks directly to their local public library to be reviewed by industry editorial partners and librarian editorial boards. Being selected by these curators can lead to expanded discovery, distribution, networking opportunities and even royalties for authors.
Contests are held annually. Submissions are accepted from April 1st to May 31st with the winners announced during Indie Author Day in November. There is one winner and two honorable mentions in each of the following genres: Mystery/Thrillers, Romance, SciFi/Fantasy, Historical Fiction, General/Contemporary Fiction, Memoir and Young Adult.
- Can I download and print items?
- Yes. Items that are in the public domain or have been made downloadable by the license holder will have a download icon on the left side of the viewer that indicates it can be downloaded and printed.
- How do I cite a source from BiblioBoard?
- To cite a source from BiblioBoard, visit the bottom of the ebook's details page where you will find APA, Chicago Style and MLA citations generated for every ebook on the platform.
