2009 GG Award Winner Opens Library’s Premier Author Series
Kate Pullinger joins stellar list of top Canadian writers as Library kicks off second year of popular “eh List” Author Series

TORONTO (Friday, February 19, 2010) - Toronto Public Library’s Winter/Spring season of the “eh List” Author Series brings Canada’s best writers and best books of the season to eight library branches across the city beginning Friday, February 26, 2010. The library’s premier literary series involves writers from coast to coast reading from their latest books and taking questions from the audience.

The series begins on Friday, February 26 at 12:30 p.m. at the Toronto Reference Library with a rare visit by the 2009 Governor General’s fiction award winner Kate Pullinger reading from The Mistress of Nothing.  The stellar lineup also includes:

o John Bemrose, author of The Last Woman
o Book launch, Under Heaven, with world renowned fantasy master Guy Gavriel Kay
o Columnist Margaret Wente, author of You Can’t Say That in Canada
o Standout newcomer Annabel Lyon, author of The Golden Mean
o Bonnie Burnard with a new novel, Suddenly
o The hugely popular Jack Whyte, author of Knights Templar: Order In Chaos
o Toronto’s own David Rotenberg, author of  Shanghai
o Newfoundlander Michael Crummey, author of Galore
o The current Giller winner Linden MacIntyre, author of The Bishop’s Man

32 readings featuring 23 authors will be held at the following library branches: Barbara Frum, North York Central Library, Northern District, Richview, Runnymede, S. Walter Stewart, Taylor Memorial and Toronto Reference Library. All programs feature readings and Q&A sessions, as well as book sales and signings. All are welcome, free of charge.
