Acclaimed singer-songwriter Jennifer Castle Live in the Stacks at Toronto Public Library’s Oldest Operating Library

Yorkville Branch, Toronto Public Library’s oldest operating library (1907), will host acclaimed singer-songwriter Jennifer Castle for an intimate, all ages, free performance.

Castle’s latest album, Pink City, was shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize.

The Make Some Noise program brings the library's local music collection to life in the stacks of library branches around the city. The initiative gives people of all ages an opportunity to see Toronto’s hottest indie bands for free at their local library branches.

Toronto Public Library’s Local Music Collection includes music from across Canada, with a focus on the Toronto area.  CDs, like Jennifer Castle’s Pink City, are located in 20 branches and can be borrowed or reserved online for pick up at your local library.  Some local music albums are available for free streaming through the library’s website.  All you need is a Toronto Public Library card and an internet connection.  Log onto tpl.ca/downloads to get started.
