Library Writers Conference Encourages Youth to Express Themselves
Youth Offered Free Access to Industry Professionals
Toronto (Monday, October 5, 2009) - Toronto Public Library’s annual Young Voices Writers Conference on Saturday, October 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at North York Central Library (5120 Yonge Street) will give Toronto youth an opportunity to work with professional writers on their creative writing endeavours, perform at an open mic and get published in an instant anthology.
The slate of professional authors who will be presenting workshops includes Charles Officer on screenwriting, Kristyn Dunnion on writing science fiction, Dylan Hudecki on songwriting, Jill Andrew on journalism, David Bidini on creative non-fiction, Jessica Yee on blogging and Krystle Mullin on poetry.
