TORONTO (Monday, March 30, 2009) – Keep Toronto Reading is the library's month-long celebration of the joy of reading, featuring literary and cultural events throughout the city.

Emerging Poets
Meet tomorrow's literary stars, as finalists for the RBC Bronwen Wallace Prize for Emerging Writers read from their work. Featuring Michael Johnson, Jeff Latosik and Emily McGiffin.

Lit City: Celebrity Picks!
Actor Cynthia Dale, Metro Morning's Jill Dempsey and writer Shyam Selvadurai read from their favourite books about Toronto.  Cynthia Dale reads from In The Skin of a Lion by Michael Ondaatje. Jill Dempsey reads from Fugitive Pieces by Anne Michaels. Shyam Selvadurai reads from What We All Long For by Dionne Brand.

Animate This! Family Edition at the NFB
Animation workshops for kids ages 3 to 13. Working from Manjusha Pawagi’s wonderful story The Girl Who Hated Book, learn the basics of stop-motion clay animation and watch your own version of the story come to life on the big screen.
