Toronto Public Library is honoured to take part in The World Remembers project, a global commemoration of those who lost their lives in WWI.
The World Remembers project will display the names of those who lost their lives in installations in participating nations. More than 9 million names of the WWI dead will be displayed around the world; in schools, online and on public buildings. Each name will appear at a designated time and will circle the world through participating countries including Canada, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, France, Turkey, the Czech Republic and the British Indian Army.
