Home Library Service

Service Update

On Monday, June 29, Home Library Service will a begin a pilot lending program for CELA Envoy Connect 2 devices.

The Envoy Connect 2 expands access to downloadable accessible audiobooks and provides customers with access to current CELA Direct-to-Player titles. Designed to support individuals with print disabilities, these devices will serve as a supplement to the discontinued DAISY disc collection.

While new DAISY discs are no longer being added to the collection, customers can now borrow Envoy Connect 2 player kits. Each kit comes preloaded with two to three current CELA titles, offering an accessible and convenient way to enjoy audiobooks and other reading materials. This initiative supports Toronto Public Library's commitment to equitable access and inclusive service delivery.

Eligible customers can request a player by calling 416-395-5557 or emailing hls@tpl.ca.

Toronto Public Library offers Home Library Service to Toronto residents who are homebound for three months or longer due to age, mobility, illness or disability.

How it works
