Welcome to the TPL Website Preview

your sneak peek starts here

Explore our preview site to see what’s new before the full launch on January 19.

New website coming soon

Your first look at our reimagined website is now live! The new site is familiar, intuitive, and designed to make it easier to manage your library account, find items, and explore programs and services.

Some features on the preview site are still being finalized, and we’re working behind the scenes to complete all of the site’s content and functionality. In the meantime, explore the site, try out new features, and get comfortable with how it looks and feels before the full launch later this month on January 19.

Explore the preview

See what it’s like to browse programs, events, services and branch pages. Search the catalogue and discover library items in multiple formats, all in one place.

Want to dig deeper?

Set up or reregister your My Account to try out some of the new account features. If your current online TPL password/PIN currently has special characters, you’ll need to reset it first, using numbers and letters only.

Once you’ve set up My Account you can:

  • See what you’ve got checked out and on hold.
  • Explore your personal shelves to track what you’re reading, want to read, or have finished.
  • Discover shared community content from library users all over North America.

What’s still in progress

  • Some pages are under construction, including interlibrary loans and stacks requests.
  • Some account updates, including email, phone, password/PIN and contact preferences, are not available on this preview site. Please visit the current tpl.ca to make any updates or changes to your account.
  • The programs and events you see here do not capture all programs offered at TPL. Please refer to the current tpl.ca to browse everything going on at the library and for registration instructions.
  • More features are coming when the full website launches on January 19, including chat, online membership renewals, online payments, instructions on how to import your Saved Lists, and the option to recommend titles for the library to purchase.

Before you explore

Keep in mind that changes made to your account here (like placing and cancelling holds and changing settings) will affect your real account.

What's next

Our full website launches on January 19, when we will transition completely to the new tpl.ca. After launch, you’ll have access to all features, along with training tools and in-person learning sessions to help you make the most of your new online library experience.
