The schedule for the closure has not been determined, but the public will be informed of the closure dates, and alternate service arrangements will be made for library users.

Employee Participation in Municipal Election Campaigns
The proposed Employee Participation in Municipal Election Campaigns policy was approved by the Board. The policy, which City Council requested be implemented during their August 1, 2, 3 and 4, 2000 meetings, addresses the need to maintain the neutrality of the public service. The policy states that employees of the Toronto Public Library must ensure that any involvement in a municipal election campaign does not adversely affect their ability to perform their duties, and the restrictions addressed arise from the need for employees to be and to appear impartial.
