Innovator in Residence

Our Innovator in Residence program brings experts to the library to explore how digital tools can be used in creative, critical and community-focused ways. Each residency invites a practitioner to lead public programs and consultations at one of our Digital Innovation Hubs, opens a new window.

Current opportunity: civic innovation

We’re currently seeking an Innovator in Residence for a civic innovation stream. This paid, eight-week residency runs from October 5 to November 28 at Albert Campbell and online.

Are you passionate about using technology and open data to solve civic challenges and inspire public engagement around issues that impact your community? Do you bring educational, professional and teaching experience in civic technology and innovation?

If so, you could be our next Innovator in Residence.

About the residency

As part of the residency, you will:

  • Develop and deliver programs that help participants learn how to use digital tools to engage with their community and take part in civic life.
  • Provide one-on-one consultations to support participants with questions and ideas related to civic innovation.
  • Connect with and support learners from diverse backgrounds who are interested in using technology as a tool for learning, participation and social impact.
  • Work with the community to identify a local issue and explore real-world solutions.
