Printed Ephemera

Much of Canada's performing arts legacy lives on in programs, prints and other non-book forms.

Thousands of fine examples are available in the printed ephemera collection at the Toronto Reference Library. Come to the Arts Department on the 5th floor to browse and do original research.

Clipping Files

  • Clippings from Toronto and other Canadian newspapers
  • Theatre brochures and other pamphlets
  • Press releases, flyers and other publicity material

Programs

  • More than 40,000 music, theatre, opera and dance programs
  • Programs from the Toronto concert circuit, both amateur and professional
  • Pictorial souvenir programs from the United States and Britain
