Yes! The new Toronto Public Library app makes it easy to connect to your library wherever you are. Find and discover titles, manage your account, check branch hours and item availability, register for programs and pay fees—all from your mobile device.

You can download the Toronto Public Library App from the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

For Apple devices: iOS 15 or higher
For Android devices: OS 9 or higher

With the TPL app, you can do many of the things you already do in the Libby app—like borrowing, returning and placing holds on eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines, and reading or listening in your mobile browser.

You’ll still want to use the Libby app to:

    • Download items for offline use
    • Borrow skip-the-line or Best Bets copies
    • Renew titles

Many of the things you already do on our website are available in the app, including:

    • Browse books, magazines, movies, music and more
    • Discover new titles and staff-recommended lists
    • Place holds on physical items and eContent
    • View your account and track items that are due, ready for pickup or on hold
    • Explore and register for upcoming programs
    • Pay fees

These features are available only in the Toronto Public Library app:

    • Manage multiple library accounts in one app
    • Access your digital library card and use it at self-checkout
