The reimagined TPL website is hosted on a new technology platform, so you will have to register your online account on that platform. A popular feature of the new My Account is the ability to create an easy-to-remember username (rather than using your library card number) to log into My Account.

General Questions
Your username associates your library card with your online account on TPL’s new web platform. A username also makes logging in easier because you can choose one that’s simple to remember. But you can still log in with your library card number if you prefer. You will still use your library card and card number when borrowing and managing your TPL account at a branch, and when getting assistance from staff.
It’s likely that your password/PIN isn’t working because it has special characters. Please contact Answerline or a branch for help resetting it. Once reset, you’ll be able to update your password/PIN online.
Yes, you can create a strong password by increasing its length (using at least 10 characters) and by using a combination of upper- and lower-case letters and numbers.
No. Your username is only for use with your online account. You’ll continue to use your library card and card number when borrowing items, managing your account at a branch, and getting assistance from staff.
No, accounts at different library systems are separate, and you will need to create and manage each account individually. So you will need a unique library card and username for each My Account registration.
No, providing an email address is optional. However, providing one helps you stay on top of your library activity by allowing you to receive reminders about due dates, notifications about membership expiry, and to easily reset your password/PIN if needed.
Yes, multiple library accounts can use the same email address.
Chosen/preferred names were not able to be transferred from the old online account to the new My Account. We respect the importance of addressing customers by their chosen/preferred name, so please contact Answerline or a branch for assistance with adding or changing your chosen/preferred name.
You can update your chosen name when you renew your membership online. If you need to add or change your chosen name at another time, please contact Answerline for assistance.
