The reimagined TPL website is hosted on a new technology platform, so you will have to register your online account on that platform. A popular feature of the new My Account is the ability to create an easy-to-remember username (rather than using your library card number) to log into My Account.

The library launched a new website to make it easier to search, discover and access services online. It’s designed to be more reliable, secure and user-friendly so customers can use library resources anytime, anywhere, with the same quality experience you’d expect in our branches.

Your username associates your library card with your online account on TPL’s new web platform. A username also makes logging in easier because you can choose one that’s simple to remember. But you can still log in with your library card number if you prefer. You will still use your library card and card number when borrowing and managing your TPL account at a branch, and when getting assistance from staff.

You can submit feedback on the Contact Us page, or by using the "Tell us about your online library experience" form in the My Account section of the site (you’ll need to be logged in). We will be making ongoing improvements to the site based on usability, customer feedback, and priority features and functionality.

To view and update your privacy settings, log into My Account and in “My Settings” locate the Privacy section. These privacy settings can control whether your interactions with the social aspect of of the website, like sharing lists or rating and commenting on titles, are shared with other library customers. By default, My Account features that are shareable are set to private, except for your Activity Feed, which is set to public by default. You can change these settings through the interface and/or in your privacy settings, depending on the feature.
