Our free-to-use Audio Visual Studios provide equipment and software for you to work on audio and visual projects. Create a podcast, record a song, take a professional headshot, shoot a commercial or work on a video for school.

How to book an Audio Visual Studio
Reserve by calling the branch. Also available on a first-come, first-served basis during library open hours.
- A Toronto Public Library card is required.
- Reservations limited to a maximum of two hours per day.
- Reservations can be made up to three business days in advance.
- Reservations limited to one booking every three business days.
- Only one member of a group can book for the group.
- Reservations held for ten minutes.
- Drop-in use is possible if studio is available.
Guidelines for using Audio Visual Studios
The purpose of the room is for audio and video production. If you need to edit your project, please book a computer in a Digital Innovation Hub.
- Studios cannot be booked as a study space or for video conferencing.
- Borrowed equipment must be returned to staff.
- Staff reserve the right to enter the studio at any time.
- The maximum number of people allowed in the Audio Visual Studios varies by location. For specific room capacity details and more information, please contact the branch.
- Rooms must be left in good order.
- Be mindful of sound levels, the space is not sound proof.
- No food or drink allowed.
- The library asks for your cooperation in maintaining a welcome environment conducive to study and enjoyable used of the library. Staff make every effort to apply these rules in a fair, dignified and positive manner for the benefit of all.
